Report Content & Takedown Requests

AgentKart is committed to maintaining a safe and lawful platform. If you believe any content hosted on AgentKart violates your rights or is otherwise unlawful, you may request its removal under the Information Technology Act 2000 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules 2021.

What you can report

  • Content that infringes your intellectual property (copyright, trademark)
  • Content that violates your privacy or shares personal information without consent
  • Defamatory, obscene or otherwise unlawful content
  • Impersonation or fraudulent listings
  • Any content that contravenes applicable Indian law

How to file a complaint

Send an email to our Grievance Officer with the following details:

  1. Your full name and contact information
  2. A description of the content you are reporting, including the URL or listing ID
  3. The reason the content should be removed, citing the specific right or law violated
  4. A statement that the information in your complaint is accurate
  5. For intellectual property complaints: proof of ownership or authorisation to act on the owner's behalf

Response timeline

In accordance with the IT Rules 2021:

  • Acknowledgement: within 24 hours of receiving your complaint.
  • Content-related complaints (obscene, defamatory or unlawful content): resolved within 72 hours.
  • Intellectual property complaints (copyright or trademark infringement): resolved within 15 days.

“Resolved” means the content is removed, the complaint is referred to the relevant authority, or you are informed why no action was taken.

Counter-notice

If your content has been removed following a complaint and you believe the removal was in error, you may send a counter-notice to the Grievance Officer at the email address above, explaining why the content does not violate the cited right or law. Counter-notices are reviewed within the same timelines.
